Lucknow, Sept 30: Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ashok Singhal today said that the organisation's grand Octobern 17 mass mobilisation programme in Ayodhya would be peaceful and warned the state government against banning the programme. "We have plans to organise a peaceful programme at Ayodhya but if VHP activists are prevented from reaching there the situation may go out of hands," Singhal said here adding over three lakh people were expected to congregate at Ayodhya from all over the country on that day.
He alleged that state government officers were threatening them and had even issued statements saying that restrictions could be imposed on the movement of people.
Citing the ASI report on excavation of the disputed site, he said it had proved the existence of a Hindu temple so the Muslim community should come forward and help the Hindus construct a Ram Temple there.
