Mumbai, June 10: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, a known critic of Centre's "soft stance" towards Pakistan, tonight took a dig at NDA government's renewed peace bid and said his party "will continue to oppose such short-sighted policies".
Referring to restoration of the Lahore bus service, he said, "Those travelling from India to Pakistan is fine, but what about those coming from Pakistan without passport and visa...they may be even terrorists.”
Thackeray was addressing partymen after Sena leader Raj Thackeray made a presentation through a slide show about the mushrooming slums in the city.
Apparently alluding to Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani's ongoing visit to US and UK, the Sena leader said, "Somebody is going on a 10-day foreign tour, but will they (US and UK) seriously consider issues before the country.”
