New Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper Express: The Indian Railways is modernising its fleet by introducing state-of-the-art trains with better amenities. This includes Vande Bharat Express, Humsafar and Tejas. Now, the state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Sleeper is all set to make its debut on several routes. The train was unveiled by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on September 1 this year. "The much-awaited Vande Bharat Sleeper trainset is now set to run on Indian Railways tracks, providing our people with a world-class travel experience and best-in-class amenities. The dedication and expertise of BEML's leadership and engineers have made this remarkable achievement possible," said Vaishnaw indicating that passengers will soon enjoy the ride on this luxurious train.

While people are eagerly waiting for the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express, one of the first routes for the train is New Delhi to Srinagar, set for launch in January 2025. The New Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper will cover a distance of over 800km in around 13 hours.
Departure, Arrival Time
The New Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper will depart from New Delhi at 7PM and will arrive in Srinagar by 8AM. The overnight service will allow customers to save time and enjoy a comfortable journey.
En-Route Stations, Stop At Katra
The New Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train will stop at stations like Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi, and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. As the train is likely to stop at Katra and Vaishno Devi, it is likely to benefit the pilgrims.
Route, Line, Connectivity
The New Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train will operate on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL), a vital corridor aimed at improving rail connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir. This route significantly cuts travel time while providing passengers with a faster and more comfortable journey.
Vande Bharat Sleeper Fare
The New Delhi to Srinagar Vande Bharat Sleeper train will offer flexible options as per budget segments. Passengers will have the option to choose from AC 3 Tier, AC 2 Tier and AC First Class. The fare for the AC 3 Tier will be around Rs 2,000, AC 2 Tier around Rs 3,000 and AC First Class around Rs 4,000.

The world-class facilities included in the Vande Bharat sleeper train are Air Conditioning with new features, temperature control, an Oxygen level maintenance system, newly designed toilets, a new generation of seats with high-class material, and world-class safety measures.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper train set is expected to revolutionize long-distance rail travel in India, setting new benchmarks for comfort, safety, and efficiency. The train is equipped with a range of world-class features, including an integrated reading light with USB charging provision, public announcement and visual information systems, inside display panels and security cameras, modular pantries, and special berths and toilets for differently-abled passengers. Additionally, the 1st AC car offers showers with hot water, enhancing passenger comfort.
