Indian caught with illegal currency in Nepal
Kathmandu, July 27: An Indian national has been arrested here on charges of carrying illegal Indian currencies worth Rs 1,25,000 in Rs 500 and 1,000 denominations, police said today.

The Indian national was arrested as he was about to board a flight to Delhi from Tribhuvan International Airport last evening. It is illegal to possess Indian currency with denominations Rs. 500 and 1,000 in Nepal.
In a separate incident, another Indian national was arrested alongwith two Nepalese persons last week for smuggling marijuana across the border between the two countries, police said.
The seized marijuana, which was confiscated by the Royal Nepalese Army revenue patrolling team in Chandrora village of Kapilvastu district, was burned yesterday.
