Gorakhpur (Up), Oct 11: VHP international acting
president Ashok Singhal accused Prime Minister's
Political Advisor Brijesh Misra and External Affairs Ministry
of playing down the Hindu culture by turning down Bali (Indonesia)
Governor's request for educating Hindu youths in Bali about
the Hindu culture.
"It is 'highly degrading and shameful' that government of
India took offence to the word 'Hindu' mentioned in the
request letter written they received for the purpose, saying
unless it was not withdrawn or deleted it would not be
considered," Singhal said.
The VHP president said over five lakh devouts would march
to Ayodhya on October 17 and warned that if any hindrance was
put to their peaceful march, the situation might take an
"ugly" turn.
