Surat, June 25: Surat police has arrested one more person from Mumbai in connection with the alleged extortion case involving parents of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, police said here today.

The police arrested Padmanathan Gopal Kotiyan, a Chembur-based hotel owner, yesterday.
Kotiyan, believed to be a member of the Chhota Rajan gang, was earlier arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch officials on June 09 for his link with Dinesh Shetty, another accused in the extortion case, as well as with the former driver of Surendra Shetty, Dilip Palsekar.
Kotiyan was also interrogated earlier by the Umra police that has registered a case against Shilpa's parents Surendra Shetty and Sunanda for "hiring" a gangster to extort Rs 80 lakh from Prafful Sarees owner, allegedly payable to the actress for an advertisement film that she did five years ago.
His interrogation revealed the alleged involvement of Palsekar and Dinesh Shetty in "communication" with the Malaysia-based gangster Fazlu Rehman, police added.
