Silverstone, July 07: Rubens Barrichello led Ferrari team mate Michael Schumacher in final practice before qualifying on Saturday for the British Formula One Grand Prix.
Barrichello, winner of the last race at the Nuerburgring, was also fastest in Friday's practice and lapped the Silverstone circuit in one minute 20.230 seconds.

Four-times world champion Schumacher, a massive 46 points clear of younger brother Ralf in the championship, was 0.198 of a second behind on a cool and overcast day with a dry track but the threat of showers.

Barrichello's time was faster than Schumacher's 2001 pole of 1:20.447.

The German will be seeking his seventh win in 10 races on Sunday but only his second in Britain -- a poor rate for a driver with multiple wins at almost all of the other circuits on the championship calendar. Off-track developments provided the main talking point in the morning with the news that the struggling Arrows team were back in business after being prevented from running on Friday due to a cash crisis.

The team were behind on payments to engine suppliers Cosworth but Arrows boss Tom Walkinshaw told reporters he had paid out to ensure Germany's Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Brazilian Enrique Bernoldi could race.

Frentzen made up for lost time with the ninth quickest lap while Bernoldi was 15th.

Williams pairing Ralf Schumacher and Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya were third and fourth quickest ahead of the two McLarens of David Coulthard and Kimi Raikkonen.
Few would be surprised if the grid after qualifying reflected a similar order, with the Ferraris clearly dominant and Williams looking like the top challengers.

However McLaren have won for the past three years at Silverstone, Coulthard in 1999 and 2000, and cannot be counted out for Sunday's race. Bureau Report
