The atmosphere is filled with a festive fervour which is knocking at the doors. The month of festivity and happiness filled with devotion is here. The time has come for Sharad Navratri or Shardiya Navratri and we can't wait for the nine-day festivity dedicated to Goddess Durga begin. This year Navratri will start from October 1 and will be on till October 10, with 11th being Dussehra. It is also known as the Maha Navratri and the most important one.

The number of days vary according to the Hindu calendar, therefore, this time, Goddess Durga's 'Shailputri' avatar will be worshipped on day 1 as well as day 2.
