Los Angeles: "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder, while wishing his newly wife Nikki Reed a happy birthday, has called her the best person he has ever known.

The 36-year-old actor tied the knot with the "Twilight" actress last month.


Gushing over Reed, Somerhalder said world is a better place because of her.
