Jammu, Apr 27: Ruling out any horse-trading to retain power in Jammu and Kashmir, former state chief minister Farooq Abdullah today claimed efforts were being made to "destroy" the National Conference party. "Repeated attempts are being made to weaken and destroy NC by spreading rumours in the state during the past few months," Abdullah told a Gujjar conference here.
The former chief minister, who was sharing dias with NC chief and son Omar Abdullah for the first time after elections stated that the party would not resort to horse-trading to retain power in the state. "We could have formed the government as we had 28 MLAs but we did not do bargaining," he said adding "we will come back to power in Jammu and Kashmir again."
Earlier, Omar Abdullah said that the working committee of the party will take a decision about ties with national democratic alliance. Bureau Report
