Ajmer, Oct 20: The Centre was planning to set up a 'broadcasting authority' to function as a watchdog against improper presentation of women's image in TV channels, Union Health Minister Sushma Swaraj has said. "There should be some check on TV channels presenting improper image of Indian women. To ensure proper presentation of women in telecast, an authority has been proposed," she said speaking at the annual function of Mayo College Girls School here last night.

Indian women, who take care of their families confining themselves to their homes, could also fight in battlefield with same ease and dedication if need arises, Swaraj said.
The only requirement was that women should realise their potential, she said.

The minister advised men to "change their attitude" towards women and accord them equal status for development of the country.

Later talking to reporters, Swaraj said that BJP would give priority to women in allocating party tickets in the coming assembly polls in five states.
