Judicial remand of Raja Bhaiya extended
Allahabad, Nov 06: A special court here today extended judicial remand of jailed independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, his father Uday Pratap Singhand others till November 20 in four cases registered against them under the Gangster Act.

Special judge A K Nigam extended their judicial remand in the wake of the district court not transacting any business due to the death of its three advocates recently.
The judge also adjourned hearing till the next date on an application filed by Raja Bhaiya`s cousin Akhasay Pratap Singh seeking his transfer from Mirzapur to Pratapgarh Jail.
The four cases were registered against the accused under Gangster Act at Kunda and Hathiganwa police stations in Pratapgarh district in October 2001.
The trial in all the cases under was going on at a special court in Allahabad before its transfer to Kanpur by the Mayawati government in June last year.
The cases were transferred back to the special court here by the state government vide an order dated October 15 last. Bureau Report
