New Delhi, Sept 03: BJP today refuted BSP leader Mayawati's allegation that CBI questioning her on Taj corridor issue was "politically motivated" saying the party did not believe in "vengeful actions." "We do not believe in vengeful actions and the allegations by the BSP leader to this effect only displays her present state of mind," party spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters here.
He said there was no basis for these remarks by the former chief minister neither had any BJP leader held out any threat to her for her alleged moves to have an alliance with Congress.
"It is her party's sole wish and prerogative to align with anybody but to take cover for the investigations by the CBI under the garb of vengeful action is not correct," Naqvi said.
He said this is not the first time that Mayawati was having a coalition with BSP and their earlier alliances have been "sweet and sour" while that of BSP-BJP has been "sweet, sour and bitter".
"However, we are not unhappy over our previous relations with BSP and I rule out any possibility of us coming together, Naqvi said.
