Chandigarh, Nov 11: Former chief minister Prakash Singh Badal who is leading the Shiromani Akali Dal camp claimed the support of 105 SGPC members, a day before the crucial elections to the executive body of the supreme decision making body of the Sikhs. Talking to reporters over cellphone from Amritsar, the SAD president said the numbers could "go up" tomorrow afternoon as some SGPC members had been "prevented" from reaching the SGPC complex, the venue of the elections.
He claimed that SGPC members were in an upbeat mood after seeing the response of people at the airport here and the SG complex here.
He claimed that the party and its members had to clear a number of "hurdles" put up by the congress government and "the Amarinder Singh government would have to pay for this".

Badal, however, refused to name the prospective candidates for the various posts of the executive body including the president, saying they would be decided after consulting the members and party office bearers.
The election is to be held tomorrow afternoon. Bureau Report
