New Delhi, 0ct 03: The Delhi High Court today extended by a month the interim bail of model Jessica Lal murder case main accused Manu Sharma after the prosecution said there was no chance of immediate production of a key witness from Nepal before the trial judge. Justice M A Khan, who had granted Manu six weeks' interim bail to him on August 23, said the same is extended further by one month with the similar conditions as were mentioned in the earlier order.
While directing the accused to surrender before the trial judge on expiry of the interim bail period, the court said he would strictly abide by the conditions which include that he would not enter the national capital territory except on the trial dates and make any attempt to influence the witnesses.
The other conditions imposed on him were that he would not leave the country without court's permission and his passport would remain with the trial court.
The High Court had declined to consider his petition for regular bail till all key witnesses are examined.
