Silchar (Assam), Mar 16: The militant outfit Dima Halam Daoga (DHD) today set a deadline of a week to the NSCN (IM) to release their kidnapped cadres. The DHD publicity secretary Daoraja Dimasa, in a fax message to the local media here, alleged that the NSCN (IM) had kidnapped the cadres to disrupt the ongoing peace process between the Centre and the outfit which was currently on. The DHD, he claimed, was not responsible for the recent evacuation of Jemi and Hmar people from north Cachar Hills district recently.
Dimasa asked the NSCN (IM) to desist from these kinds of disruptive activities. The NSCN (IM) had allegedly kidnapped three DHD cadres from the Harangao area in the district recently.
