Samajwadi party president Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday demanded immediate dismissal of Rajnath Singh government in Uttar Pradesh saying the fluid political situation in the state would lead to horse-trading of MLAs.
Claiming that the BJP-led coalition had been reduced to a minority, he told reporters that there was no government in Uttar Pradesh and asked President K R Narayanan to dissolve the state immediately to pave the way for early assembly polls.
Asked whether LCP leader Naresh Agarwal had met him to explore new political equations in the state, Yadav evaded a direct reply saying his relationship with Agarwal has been cordial over the years. ''We may have ideological differences, but personally we are very close''.
He alleged that BJP was indulging in horse-trading to cling to power so that the present assembly was not dissolved immediately.
