Mumbai, Feb 20: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Devdas' stole the show at the annual Filmfare Awards held in Mumbai last night, walking away with top prize in 11 categories and Vivek Oberoi-starrer 'Saathiya' finished a distant second with four. Among the awards 'Devdas' bagged were those for best film, best director, best actor (Shah Rukh Khan), best actress (Aishwarya Rai), best female playback singers (Kavita Krishnamurthy and Shreya Ghosal) and best choreographer (Saroj Khan).

'Saatihya', directed by Shaad Ali, collected four awards--best music director (A R Rahman), best lyric (Gulzar), screenplay (Mani Ratnam) and best male playback singer (Sonu Nigam). Actor Ajay Devgan bagged the best villain award for his role in 'Diwangee' while Vivek Oberoi got a double in the form of best male debut actor in 'Road' and best supporting actor in 'Company.'

Versatile actor Paresh Rawal got the best actor in a comic role for his performance in the film 'Awara, Pagal, Diwana.'

Besides getting the best music director's award, A R Rahman also earned the prize for best background score for 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh.' The award for best dialogue writer went jointly to Gulzar for 'Saathiya' and Jaideep Sahni (Company). Sahni also got the award for best story (Company).
He critic award for best actress was shared by Rani Mukherjee for her role in 'Saathiya' and Manisha Koirala in 'Company.' The critic award for best actor went to Ajay Devgan for his roles in 'Company" and "The Legenda of Bhagat Singh" which was also adjudged the best film.
