New York, Feb 14: The world’s largest computer maker, IBM, and Cisco Systems said on Friday they would tailor their security technology for computers and communications networks to work better together. IBM and Cisco said they want to make it easier for businesses and governments to protect their data and beat computer viruses. The companies said the agreement is part of a long-term alliance between the companies which last year led to IBM modifying its data storage software so that it would work better with Cisco storage switches. As part of the security agreement, IBM and Cisco said their products would better be able to detect when there was a threat to a business’ security. Bureau Report
