Darbhanga, July 07: New minister of state for communication Sanjay Paswan today expressed concern over poor functioning of postal services in the country and said steps would be initiated to remove bottlenecks in their smooth running.

The government-owned postal services have been lagging behind private courier services and measures would be taken to upgrade postal services, Paswan told reporters after holding a meeting with postal officers here. He said efforts were being made to link every village with telephone services. He said a technological revolution sweeping the nation should be equally emphasised in metropolitan cities as well as in rural areas. Bureau Report
