Mumbai, Oct 14: The assistants of Bollywood stars Dimple Kapadia and her sister Simple have been arrested on charges of cheating the two to the tune of over Rs four lakh, police sources said today. The brothers, Likayat Parkar and Irfan, had been working for the sisters for a considerable period of time and had been handling their daily accounts and financial transactions, police sources said.
The fraud came to light when the sisters discovered some transactions, unknown to them, being reflected in a bank statement issued to them.
The assistants had forged the signatures of the sisters to withdraw varying amounts from the bank
The duo have been remanded to police custody to October 20, police added. Bureau Report
