Stung by India's pull-out from the Asian Test Championships, Pakistan on Friday said India seemed a doubtful starter for the four-nation one-day series scheduled for March next year. "We presume that the quadrangular tournament involving India, Pakistan, West Indies and Zimbabwe in next March would also not take place as a result of the Indian decision," Pakistan cricket board director brigadier Munawar Rana told a news agency over phone from Lahore.
"Things are very uncertain and very difficult to predict at the moment," he said. "But we can infer that India's decision to pull out of ATC meant that it would not take part in the four nation tournament next year." He said neither Asian Cricket Council nor PCB had received any official communication from the Indian cricket board about the its decision to pull-out out of the ATC following refusal of permission by the Indian government.
"We expect a clarification from BCCI on this issue," he said. Bureau Report
