Los Angeles, Oct 16: Thailand's "Knockout King", top-ranked contender Napapol Kiatisakchokchai, will fight world boxing council super bantamweight champion Oscar Larios of Mexico in a main event here on November 22. The power-punching Thai fighter is 22-1 with 18 knockouts while Larios is 48-3 with one drawn and 33 knockouts. The "Night of Aztec Warriors" card from Oscar De La Hoya's "Golden Boy" productions also features two other Hispanic boxers fighting for world titles at Grand Olympic Auditorium, where De La Hoya won his first world crown.
Mexico's Javier Jauregui, 46-10 with two drawn and 33 knockouts, seeks his first world crown against American Levander Johnson, 32-3 with two drawn and 25 knockouts, for the vacant international boxing federation lightweight crown. Colombia's Reynaldo Hurtado, who has won 13 fights in a row since his last loss six years ago, will fight unbeaten Jose Navarro, the first 2000 US Olympic boxer to fight for a pro title, in a WBC super-flyweight eliminator bout.
