New Delhi, Oct 22: BJP has shot off a letter to Chief Election Commissioner J M Lyngdoh protesting the alleged misuse of official machinery for party work by the Congress government in Rajasthan, which it termed as a "blatant violation of the model code of conduct." Besides highlighting the "achievements" of his government through hoardings at government expense, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is "misusing his office for the work of Congress party", BJP Rajasthan unit president Vasundhara Raje said in her letter, a copy of which was released here today.
She alleged that A K Singh, secretary to the Rajasthan government's Department of Programme Implementation has written a letter, on behalf of the Chief Minister, to all secretaries in the state government on October 10, asking them to compile progress regarding implementation of the Congress manifesto.
"It is learnt that several meetings would be called for the purpose and a lot of government time would be spent on it," she said.
