Independence Day celebrations in Pakistan cancelled
Islamabad, Aug 05: Pakistan Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has cancelled the Independence Day celebrations on August 14, saying the country was in the grip of a natural disaster.
Islamabad, Aug 05: Pakistan Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has cancelled the Independence Day celebrations on August 14, saying the country was in the grip of a natural disaster.
All celebrations except the hoisting of the National Flag stand cancelled, jamali was quoted as saying by 'daily times' newspaper, adding that Pakistan is in the grip of a natural disaster and so Pakistanis should celebrate the National Day very simply.
The Prime Minister also urged the people to divert their attention and resources to the flood victims in Sindh and Baluchistan.
