Chunkey retracts statement in Gulshan murder case, Salman and Shahrukh dicharged
Film star Chunkey Pandey on Thursday went back on his earlier statement in the Gulshan Kumar murder case. Salman Khan also recorded his statement, but Shahrukh Khan failed to appear at all. However both Salman and Shahrukh have been discharged.

Chunkey Pandey retracted the statement that he had heard a conversation about Gulshan Kumar at a lunch party, which was attended by Dawood Ibrahim, Anees Ibrahim and other underworld dons.
Salman Khan’s statement was also recorded but Shahrukh Khan failed to appear once again. Shahrukh had earlier said that he had not attended the lunch party so there was not much to add.
Film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Chunkey Pandey had been summoned by a session judge in Mumbai to appear before him on Thursday to tender evidence in Gulshan Kumar murder case.
The summons was issued by sessions judge M L Tahilyani who warned the actors to appear without fail. They had been summoned earlier to depose on Wednesday, but could not make it due to professional commitments.
Gulshan Kumar was gunned down in August 1997 near a temple in Andheri by the members of Dubai-based don Abu Salem.
