Gandhinagar, Oct 09: Maintenance and development of protected areas for wildlife and influence of eco-tourism on local inhabitants would be deliberated at a two-day national workshop to be inaugurated by Union Minister for Environment and Forest T R Balu today. The workshop "wild-life and human society", to be organised by Union Environment and Forest Ministry in collaboration with, Gujarat government and Gir Foundation, Gandhinagar, will be held at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, an official release said here today. The availability of sustained financial requirement for developmental administration of natural beauty, endeavours initiated by human society for wildlife conservation and its habitat would also be deliberated at the workshop. Papers will also be presented on wildlife conservation and human society connected to it, financial problems coming in the way of development of protected areas and obstacles confronting human society, activities of wild-life and human being in protected areas and activities of people inhabiting around the surroundings.
