Mumbai, May 07: Shekhar Suman's loss has been Arshad Warsi's gain - a peck from Hollywood diva Sharon Stone! Shekhar Suman, often called India 's Jay Leno, was initially supposed to host the Bollywood Awards in New York on May 1. But as it turned out, it fell on Arshad to do the honours. He kept the audience smiling with his Bollywood jokes. But he really stole the show when he went and spoke to Sharon Stone - who was honoured at the event - and received a kiss from her. The crowd went completely wild when Sharon kissed Arshad as they were walking down from the stage. The past week has been a celebration of Bollywood in the US. While the musical "Bombay Dreams" opened on Broadway April 29, the next day saw the Bollywood Fashion Awards in Atlanta. Culminating a two-day show of fashion and film awards on successive days, the extravaganza drew thousands of people from the tri-state area of New Jersey , New York and Connecticut to Atlantic City where the audience could see yesteryear film stars like Hema Malini and Rajesh Khanna.
They also enjoyed live performances by Kareena Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Urmila Matondkar, Bipasha Basu, Aftab Shivdasani, Dino Morea, not to mention songs by Shankar Mahadevan, Chitra, Reggie Benjamin and the Belly Twins. Senator Hillary Clinton, through a recorded message, thanked organisers Kamal and Sonia Dandona for bringing such a spectacular act to the US. Many other Hollywood stars congratulated Bollywood stars and CNN's Larry King sent his good wishes to Sharon for winning a Bollywood award.
