New Delhi, May 16: Pakistan Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali's argument that it was impossible to stop the flow of terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir because of "very porous" border has no takers in official circles here. A highly placed source dismissed Jamali's assertion in his interview to a TV channel as excuses, pointing out that what India wanted from Pakistan was to end not only infiltration but also sustained support in a variety of ways given to terrorists operating in Kashmir. "There will be no infiltration if Pakistan decides that there shall be no infiltration," the source said, adding India had conveyed this view to the US deputy secretary of state Richard Armitage. New Delhi is convinced that the US is not exerting enough pressure on Pakistan to stop terrorism in Kashmir. "If US can make Pakistan fight the Taliban, its own creation, they can get Islamabad to do anything," the source said. Bureau Report
