Ajmer, June 19: VHP leader Pravin Togadia today appeared before a local court in connection with violating a ban to distribute tridents and delivering an inflammatory
speech, even as the court postponed the case till July 24.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Indu Pareek
postponed the case after the police sought further time to
file a chargesheet against the Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader.
Togadia was arrested here on April 13 for "distributing banned tridents to VHP activists and delivering inflammatory speech" at a 'Trishul Deeksha' ceremony here.
While granting him bail, the court had asked him to appear personally on every date of hearing.
Meanwhile, an application was moved on behalf of Togadia today alleging that police was delaying the filing of chargesheet to "concoct" evidence against him.
However, the Magistrate made no comment on it.
