Rashtriya Janata Dal Chief Laloo Prasad Yadav, who has been elected to the Rajya Sabha, on Wednesday resigned from the Bihar Assembly and said he was going to Delhi to dislodge the NDA government at the Centre.
''I am not going to Delhi permanently. I abide by the decision of the party to go to Delhi and overthrow the NDA government at the Centre which is fomenting communal passion across the country'', he told reporters after putting in his papers.
Yadav said he would spare no effort to raise issues related to development of Bihar and that after completing his mission he would return.
When asked whether his absence would have any impact on the functioning of the state government, the RJD President said his absence would not affect the Rabri Devi ministry as she had become adept at handling the affairs of the state on her own. Bureau Report
