Hyderabad, Oct 05: Defence Minister George Fernandes today called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence and enquired about his health. Naidu, who survived an attempt on his life by the PWG at Tirumala on Oct 1, is recuperating from his injuries.

During the meeting, Fernandes assured all possible helps from the Centre in tackling the naxalite menace and wished Naidu a speedy recover. Union Minister for Agriculture Rajnath Singh and Union Minister for Rural Development Bandaru Dattatreya also called on the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister underwent a routine medical checkup this morning and would resume his official duties from tomorrow, official sources said here.
