New Delhi, Sept 11: Chhattishgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi today ruled out any electoral alliance with BSP in the coming assembly elections in the state and said any move by Congress to join the Samajwadi Party-led government in Uttar Pradesh would have no impact "either way" on his party's poll prospects. "We will be totally unaffected either way" in the event of Congress joining the UP government, Jogi said at a 'meet the press' programme organised by the Press Club of India here when asked whether such a development would affect Congress prospects in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Asserting that Congress would go it alone in all the 90 seats in the state, he said that the NCP led by V C Shukla posed no threat to his party as Chhattisgarh was known to have a "bi-polar" polity divided between Congress and BJP. He sought to justify his charge against the BJP-led coalition at the centre of launching "Operation Black Sea" against him and some other Congress leaders to malign them by saying "not even the dimmest of morons will write a letter which is self-incriminating".

Jogi was dismissive of the controversy over his tribal status saying the high court has for four times ruled in his favour.

Stating that his party did not face any challenge from BJP, the Chief Minister had a dig at the ruling party at the Centre saying it has failed to project any Chief Ministerial candidate in Chhatisgarh though it has done so in the case of three other states where polls are due in November.
