New Delhi, July 18: R M Abhayankar was today appointed secretary in the ministry of external affairs, an official release said. The name of Abhyankar, an IFS official of 1968 batch, was approved by the appointments committee of the cabinet, the release said. Abhyankar at present holds the post of special secretary in the ministry.
