Torrential rains continue to lash Rajasthan
Jaipur, July 23: Torrential rains continued to affect normal life, rail and vehicular traffic in most parts of Rajasthan as Kotkasim (Alwar) recorded the maximum rainfall of 10 cms this morning, a Met report said here.

Low lying colonies at many places in Alwar, Dholpur,
Barmer, Bharatpur, Sriganganagar, Bheenmal were inundated with
water and numerous mud houses collapsed following heavy rain,
the report said.
At least 25 major dams were full following heavy rainfall in catchment areas and water was flowing above danger level in more than a dozen dams, an official release said.
A fort wall of Deeg Mahal collapsed during incessant rains, a section of rail road between Rewari-Phulera metre gauge was affected as mud-gravel was washed away from at Khaar and Kund points in Rajasthan yesterday. A passenger train between Jaipur-Rewari had been cancelled, the release said, adding services were restored this morning.
Ujjain-Veir recorded a maximum rainfall of 9 cms, followed by Devlahead (8 cms), Baretha (7cms), Neemrana and Sriganganagar (6 cms each), Bheenmal, Rajakhera, and Bikaner (5 cms each), Kama and Basera (4 cms), Dholpur, Tatgarh, Bayana and Kotari (3 cms each).
No change in monsoon weather has been predicted in next 24 hours in the state. Bureau Report
