In her run-up to the election campaign, BJP`s chief ministerial candidate Vasundhara Raje Scindia has focussed largely on the handling of drought situation in the state by the incumbent Congress government. However, the ever-astute politician that Gehlot points to the large-scale relief work to tide over the problem. But the BJP will be quick to bring to light that Gehlot improved his drought-management system only after starvation deaths were reported. However, with the state receiving good rains washing away many of his problems, Gehlot can breathe easy on this particular issue.
