Bangalore, Jan 27: The Special Investigation Team (Stampit) in Karnataka today completed a four-day interrogation of prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper racket Abdul Karim Telgi and moved the special court for a Narco-analysis test on him. The special court had allowed Stampit to interrogate Telgi for four days on an application moved by the investigation agency which submitted that interrogation was needed as the accused reportedly claimed through his former lawyer Abdul Rehman that he was ready to disclose the names of "big sharks" in the scandal.
Telgi was sent back to judicial custody by A T Manoli, judge of the special court located at Parappanahara Agrahara jail on the city outskirts. Telgi replied in the negative when asked by the judge if he was harassed by Stampit. Meanwhile, Stampit has filed an application seeking to conduct a Narco-analysis test on Telgi. Telgi's counsel said they will file objections to the Stampit application tomorrow. Maharashtra's sit had conducted a similar test on Telgi at a Bangalore hospital sometime back.
