Bangalore, Dec 26: The special TADA court set up for the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blast case would pronounce its verdict early next year deciding the fate of 122 accused including noted film star Sanjay Dutt, Maharastra's special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said today. The designed court which took almost 10 years, the longest ever trial in a case in the country, has completed examination of all the accused in the case in which 684 persons deposed as witness, he told reporters here.
The court is expected to deliver verdict in two or three months, Nikam said.
Nikam, who is also a director on the board of Union Bank of India, was on a visit to the city to attend the bank's board meeting.
Nikam said the judge of the special court P D Kode has asked him to give details on January 6 on the 36 accused who are absconding, including Dawood Ibrahim, Anees Ibrahim and Tiger Memon.
Legal wrangles have come in the way of extradition of notorious underworld criminals who masterminded the blasts, he said.
