Bhilai, Nov 18: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today said the Bharatiya Janata Party's claim of providing a ''clean government'' stood exposed before the people as new cases of corruption came to the fore. Launching the campaign for Chhattisgarh's December one polls, Sonia alleged that one scandal or the other erupted during the tenure of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance regime at the Centre.
''Cases involving ministers and others in responsible positions are coming to light, exposing the falsehood of the BJP claim of providing good and clean governance,'' she claimed.
Without naming Dilip Singh Judeo, who resigned as Union minister of state for environment and forests following a graft charge, she said that the latest one was ''a serious instance'' of corruption.
