Four ITI officials injured in IED blast in J&K
Srinagar, Oct 18: Four officials of the industrial training institute here were injured when ultras set off an improvised explosive device in Badgam district of central Kashmir today, official sources said.
Srinagar, Oct 18: Four officials of the industrial training institute here were injured when ultras set off an improvised explosive device in Badgam district of central Kashmir today, official sources said.
Militants had planted the IED to blow up security vehicles passing through Namtihal village but it missed the target and hit the vehicle in which the ITI officials were travelling injuring four of them, the sources said.
They said the injured, identified as ITI principal Abdul Rashid Ghulam Nabi, Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh and Manzoor Wani, were shifted to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
The vehicle also suffered some damages in the explosion, the sources said.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the entire area and a hunt has been launched to nab the militants involved in the blast.
No militant outfit has so claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
