New Delhi, Dec 05: Health and Family Welfare Minister Sushma Swaraj today introduced in the Rajya Sabha a bill to arrest the mushrooming growth of sub-standard medical colleges and courses in the country. The Indian Medicine Central Council (Amendment) Bill also provides for prior permission of the central government for the establishment of a new medical college or new course of study.
Commerce Minister Arun Jaitley introduced the British statutes (Repeal) Bill while Power Minister Anant G Geete placed the Electricity (Amendment) Bill on the table of the House.
