Lalitpur, Mar 22: The entry of Rahul Gandhi into electoral politics as a candidate from the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency will
not cause any ''ripples in the Indian politics'', Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani said today.
''Why talk on a national level, Rahul's entry to politics will not even impact Uttar Pradesh,'' he said and added that the country
had already rejected the Congress Party.
On the contentious Ayodhya issue, Advani told journalists that the other constituents of the NDA were against the idea of using it as a poll issue.
He observed the BJP wanted the matter to be resolved through talks between the two communities. The court's verdict in this regard can hurt the sentiments of one of the communities, he added.
The Deputy Prime Minister said development works undertaken by the NDA government had put the country on the path of rapid development and by 2020 India would transform into a developed nation.
