London, June 20: "Genetic tests have proved that Hollywood producer Steve Bing is the father of British actress Liz Hurley's baby son Damian," his spokeswoman has said. "Recently conducted tests have shown that Steve Bing is the biological father of Elizabeth Hurley's son, Damian Charles Hurley," Bing's spokeswoman yesterday said in a press statement. Hurley, 37, has always maintained that Bing, 35, was the father of the child born last April 4.
But Steve Bing, who has an inheritance of 400 million dollars had expressed doubts over Hurley's fidelity during their 18 month relationship.
He began legal proceedings in April two weeks after Damian was born - a move which Hurley branded "astonishing". A statement released at the time said: 'Now that Hurley has had her baby, Bing is anxious to establish beyond any doubt who is the baby's father.'
"If it is proved that Bing is Damian's father, he would wish generously to support him and to be involved in his upbringing."
Bing claimed he had been unable to make contact with Hurley to discuss paternity but said he hoped for an amicable solution.
When Hurley revealed to the world last year that she was pregnant, she immediately named Bing as the father.
The pair had been in a relationship after the former Estee Lauder model split from actor Hugh Grant.
