24 candidates in fray for three assembly bye-elections in Raj
Jaipur, Nov 28: Twenty four candidates were left in fray after nine independents withdrew their nominations for the three assembly bye-elections in Rajasthan slated for December 12, an official spokesman said today.

Eleven candidates including one each of the ruling Congress and opposition BJP are left for the contest in Bansur Assembly constituency, followed by four in Sagwara (ST) and nine in Bali constituency.
The Bansur and Sagwara seats fell vacant after the death of a BSP MLA Jagat Singh Dayma, and a congress minister Bheekha Bhai respectively, while the Bali seat was lying vacant after the election of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat as the vice-president.
Of these 24 candidates, seventeen independents are also contesting the by poll in three seats.
