World economy recovering: G-7
Dubai, Sept 21: The G-7 comprising the rich and industrialised world on Saturday expressed satisfaction on the recovery of the world economy led by the United States.
Dubai, Sept 21: The G-7 comprising the rich and industrialised world on Saturday expressed satisfaction on the recovery of the world economy led by the United States.
"There is good news on the economic situation. The recovery is in a way starting from the US," the G-7 spokesman Tremonti told reporters while unveiling the agenda for Growth for September 2003.
He said the meeting encompassed on financial stability among member countries besides discussion on rebuilding Iraq and Palestine.
Tremonti attributed the failture of Cancum Ministerial meeting of WTO to practical problems and said it was essential to overcome them to arrive at a new agreeement in future.
The document paper said the G-7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank governors have agreed to an Agenda for Growth and this followed their successful cooperative approach on the October 2001 Action Plan on Terrorist Financing and the April 2002 Action Plan on emerging markets.
