Jammu, July 28: Two army jawans were injured in shelling by Pakistani troops in Noushera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir last evening, official sources said here today.
Targetting the forward defence locations, Pakistani troop from across the line of control (LOC) resorted to intense mortar shelling in Noushera sector from 1530 hours to 2200 hours yesterday in which two jawans suffered splinter injuries, they said.
Indian troops also retaliated and the exchange came to halt around 2200 hours, they said. Damage on the either side could not be ascertained.
Small arms firing exchange between two sides has also been reported in Khari Karmara, Degwar, Jhallas, Salotri and Balnoi area of Poonch district during last night without any damage or loss on the Indian side.
