Kuala Lumpur, Feb 24: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated a comprehensive business portal to facilitate greater interaction within the trading community of NAM countries, and said it would synchronise positions on key economic issues. Vajpayee launched the portal, promoted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, on the sidelines of the NAM business forum here. Indo-Pak differences on terrorism also came in the way of a consensus on terrorism with New Delhi making it clear that there can be no justification of state-sponsored terrorism in the name of support to `freedom struggle`. The portal called NAM Business Network is available at www.nambisnet.com and offers business inquiries, directories and information on various business related aspects. Vajpayee said, it would provide chambers of business and industry and think tanks among the 116 member bloc an avenue to exchange ideas on international economic issues.
"I believe this is a valuable initiative, but it can prosper only if it can pick up participation from NAM countries around the world," he said.
