New Delhi, Sept 10: Taking serious note of a lady principal being allegedly raped by a journalist for last many years in Bhopal, National Commission for Women (NCW) has asked the Madhya Pradesh government to submit a report within a week into the matter. The commission, after taking cognizance of a complaint by the victim that she was being raped for the last six years by an alleged journalist and all her plea to get justice was being ignored due to alleged involvement of senior IAS officers in the state government, wrote to the state chief secretary seeking a report into the matter.

"Failing which the commission has decided to visit the state and investigate the matter on its own," NCW chairperson Purnima Advani told reporters here today, adding that the victim was also apprehending threat to her life after she has approached the National Commission. Giving details of a separate case of rape of a nurse in a private nursing home in the national capital recently, Advani said the commission has written to the delhi chief secretary seeking the report in the case.
