Meghalaya beats Maharashtra, Manipur beats Jharkhand in under-16
Aizawl, Aug 23: Two north eastern states, Meghalaya and Manipur beat Maharashtra and Jharkhand respectively on the fourth day of the under -16 National Football Championship here today.

Meghalaya defeated Maharashtra 2-1 goals while Manipur defeated Jharkhand by a solitary goal.
Meghalaya's Banteiland Syiemlieh and Jerry Sutnga scored one goal each in 37th and 57th minutes respectively while Maharashtra's Zufiqar Rizvi reduced the margin by scoring in the 63rd minute.
In the second match, the all important goal for Manipur was scored by Prashanta Singh in the 69th minute.
West Bengal will take on Uttaranchal while Mizoram will play against Tamil Nadu on Monday.
