Mumbai, Nov 11: In keeping with a judicial directive, 88 accused including film actor Sanjay Dutt, will today appear before a special court in the 1993 bomb blast case. Designated Judge P D Kode had allowed 88 accused in the 1993 bomb blast case to visit their homes in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan during Diwali holidays but directed them to appear on November 11.

Co-accused and actor Sanjay Dutt was also permitted to visit Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritius and South Africa to promote Hindi film "Kaante", produced by him. He left India on October 28. The actor has been directed to appear before the court today. Earlier, co-accused Syed Abdul Rehman had been allowed to visit Gujarat to meet his aged parents while another accused Salim Khan alias Salim Durriani was permitted to visit Tonk in Rajasthan to look after his agricultural land and meet relatives during Ramzan.

On a plea made by Sanjay`s lawyer Farhana Shah, Judge P D Kode allowed Sanjay to visit abroad on certain conditions. Sanjay`s lawyer informed the court that film "Kaante" was the actor`s first home production and therefore he wanted to go abroad for publicity and distribution network. The film is slated for all India release on December 6. Bureau Report
